The Planning Committee is responsible for making comments to the Wiltshire Council Planning Authority on behalf of the Parish Council on all Planning Applications within the parish. Wiltshire Council makes the final decisions on all applications.
This committee has delegated powers to make comments on the applications and notify these to Wiltshire Council without ratification by the Full Council.
This committee has passed responsibility for the War Memorial, Blind House, Pound, Memorial Fountain, Box Tunnel Viewing Platform as well as the parish Notice Boards and those bus shelters to Buildings and Highways.
This committee also considers any matters relating to conservation and the environment in general.
Parishioners are welcome to attend any of these meetings, and are invited to make representations on any applications at the start of each meeting.

The Planning Committee has ownership of the Plan. The Plan is run by a Steering Group.
